I have recently moved back home to Wellington after completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts at The Quay School of the Arts, Wanganui UCOL.
I am now working towards completing a Graduate Diploma of Design at Massey University in 2006.
My paintings are a visual diary of my life; past and present. Because of this self-portrait is an important part of my practise. In the last two years the main themes in my work have been childhood nostalgia mixed with thoughts and feelings to do with image and appearance in a world obsessed with celebrity perfection. More recently I am inspired by the different relationships in my life and am asking when does compromise become sacrifice? I am also interested in the idea of what love is.
