Since graduating in sculpture from the Quay School of Arts, Wanganui in 2002, David has been concentrating on painting, which has a progression of ideas and techniques. Lately David has been working with canvas spheres. “ I like the fact that spheres have no sharp edges and are gentle on the eye.” But the messages are anything but soft. The spheres represent the advertising bubble, and the messages within represent the non-accountability of modern marketing.
