I am primarily interested in form, composition and colour . The subject matter  ( if any ) often  arises from what these ombinations suggest, prompted by my interest at the time.    As with music, it is the emotional and sensual effect of textures, relationships of colours,  tonal effects, the drama of opposites,  the movements created by line and form,  all of which combine for me into a visual response that  far outweighs representation.    Rather, it is  perhaps an attempt to pay homage to those energy forces of Nature which drive the world, ourselves, and our perceptions. The magical process of begininng a painting, developing it , and being part of it , is like floating down an unknown river.
