Nichola Mcmullen has been living, working and creating in Whanganui for the past six years. McMullen graduated from the Quay School of Fine Arts (major: Printmaking). There she produced a body of work from her graduating show that has been the foundation of her art practice. Her love for colour and luscious surfaces is based on imagery of old found photographs. McMullen is interested in recreating a narrative for the forgotten people in these photographs.
