“In all these works Prakash comments, there is the element
of intuitive creation, an element of suprise for the painter
and the effects of the paint when dry and of the design dynamic
left by the paint thrown onto the flat canvas. A viewer of
these paintings has some leeway interpreting the fluid shapes,
as stains on the wall can be read. In all the works a state
of being is evoked somewhere between optimism and despair.
There is a tension between the light and the dark and these
paintings; sometimes the light triumphantly holds its own
and sometimes the dark is palpable as in the dot paintings
with only small, golden specks of light emerging from and
disappearing into the gloom.”
