Ji-nashi Kosode (Translation:Kimono with no blank space)

Utilising Antique Japnese Kimono Stencils and glitter with two separate small ‘sleeve’ paintings.

The latest in the exploration of large canvases by the history of the garment called Kimono in Japan. Rita received her first Kimono at the age two from her Uncle who was stationed in Tokyo during the Occupation.
