Rita Dibert is a multi-media artist who since
1995 has headed Photography at the Quay School of Fine Art
Whanganui. She holds an MFA in Photo Applications to Painting
and Printmaking and one in Contemporary Theory and Media.
Her past includes doing radio voice overs, summer theatre
and operettas, marching at Montgomery, colouring Easter eggs
and refinishing furniture. Rita’s father, a basement
inventor, was a firm believer in negative ions and invented
the turn signal for general Motors. Her Grandmother was a
suffragette and on the Underground Railroad.
